🛒 Ingredients
- 180 ml fresh lemon juice (approx. 4–5 large ripe lemons, strained to remove seeds/pith)
- 80–100 ml maple syrup, agave nectar, or coconut sugar syrup (adjust sweetness to taste)
- 1 large handful fresh mint leaves (plus extra sprigs for garnish)
- 300 ml cold filtered water or sparkling water
- 250–300 g crushed ice or ice cubes
- Optional: ½ tsp lemon zest for extra aroma
👩🍳 Instructions
- 1
Prep: Wash lemons and mint thoroughly. Juice the lemons and strain out any seeds or bitter pith.
- 2
Blend: Add fresh lemon juice, sweetener, mint leaves, water, lemon zest (if using), and all the ice into a high‑speed blender.
- 3
Blend until smooth: Blitz on high speed for 30–45 seconds until the ice is fully crushed and the mixture turns frothy, slushy, and bright green.
- 4
Taste & adjust: Taste and add more sweetener if too tart, or a little extra water/ice if too thick.
- 5
Serve: Pour immediately into chilled glasses, garnish with fresh mint sprigs and a lemon slice, and enjoy right away while icy cold.
