π Ingredients
- 2 medium sweet potatoes (orangeβfleshed works best), peeled
- 2β3 tbsp neutral oil (coconut, sunflower, or avocado oil)
- Fine sea salt
- Optional seasoning: smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, or a pinch of cinnamon
π©βπ³ Instructions
- 1
Slice thinly: Use a sharp knife or mandoline to slice the sweet potatoes into very thin, even rounds β the thinner they are, the crispier they will get.
- 2
Dry well: Pat the slices thoroughly with kitchen paper to remove excess moisture; this is key for crispness.
- 3
Toss: Place slices in a bowl, drizzle with oil, and toss until every slice is lightly coated. Sprinkle with salt and your chosen seasonings.
- 4
Arrange: Spread in a single layer on baking trays lined with parchment paper β do not overlap.
- 5
Bake: Bake for 20β25 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crisp at the edges. Watch closely as they can burn quickly.
- 6
Cool: Leave to cool completely on the trays β they will crisp up further as they cool. Serve once fully crunchy.
