Vegan Plátanos Fritos
Plátanos Fritos is a simple yet beloved staple across Honduras and Central America, made from ripe sweet plantains fried until golden and caramelised on the outside while staying soft and meltingly tender inside. It can be enjoyed as a side dish, breakfast treat, or dessert drizzled with cream or syrup. This vegan version uses only plant‑based ingredients, keeping the natural sweetness, rich colour, and perfect texture of the classic recipe without any dairy or animal products.
