🛒 Ingredients

  • 250 grams of chickpeas, soak overnight then boil until soft
  • One large onion, chop very finely and squeeze out the juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • One tablespoon of wheat flour or chickpea flour to make it thicker
  • One teaspoon of cumin powder, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and salt to taste
  • A pinch of fresh/dried oregano leaves and finely chopped parsley leaves
  • Enough olive oil/vegetable oil for frying

    Drain the boiled chickpeas, then mash or grind them roughly, don't let them become mush, leave the fine grain texture.

    Combine the ground peanuts with the onion, garlic, flour, all the spices, and herbs. Stir well until the dough comes together and can be shaped.

    Take a small amount of dough and shape it into a flat ball as desired. Repeat this process until the dough is used up.

    Heat enough oil, fry over medium heat until both sides are golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain.
