- 500 grams of small/medium sized potatoes, peeled and cut into 2/4
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- One tablespoon of whole cumin seeds
- One teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- Two green chilies, sliced diagonally
- Salt to taste
- Chopped fresh cilantro for sprinkling

Heat the oil over medium heat, add the cumin seeds and let them pop and release a fragrant aroma.
