🛒 Ingredients

  • Two medium-sized banana blossoms, thinly sliced
  • Salt water + lime juice to taste (for soaking)
  • Vegetable oil to taste
  • #seasoning ingredients:
  • 6 shallots, thinly sliced
  • Three cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 5 curly red chilies, sliced diagonally
  • Three bird's eye chilies (adjust to your taste)
  • 2 cm galangal, bruised
  • Two bay leaves
  • One tablespoon of vegetable sweet soy sauce
  • Salt, coconut sugar and pepper to taste
  • 50 to 100 ml of boiled water

    Soak the banana blossom slices in salt water and lime juice for 15 minutes, squeeze gently, wash clean, then boil briefly until half cooked and drain.

    Heat oil, sauté shallots, garlic, galangal, bay leaves and chilies until fragrant and perfectly cooked.

    Add the banana blossom and stir well with the spices. Pour in a little water and cook slowly until the water has evaporated and the banana blossom is soft and has absorbed the spices.

    Add sweet soy sauce, salt, coconut sugar, and pepper to taste, stir gently so that the flavors blend evenly.
