🛒 Ingredients
- #the main ingredient:
- 200 grams of red lentils, wash thoroughly until the water runs clear.
- One small onion, finely chopped
- One carrot, cut into small pieces
- One medium sized potato, cut into small pieces
- One tablespoon of tomato paste
- 800 to 900ml vegetable stock or clean water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- #seasonings and complementary ingredients:
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika powder
- One fresh lemon, cut into sections
- Chili melted oil: 1 tablespoon vegetable oil + one teaspoon red chili flakes
- Chopped fresh parsley for sprinkling

Heat oil in a pan, saute the onions until soft and fragrant. Add carrots and potatoes, cook briefly until slightly soft

Add the tomato paste and stir well. Add the red lentils, cumin, and paprika and stir briefly.

Pour in the water or vegetable stock and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and simmer for 25 minutes, until all the ingredients are completely tender.

Blend the entire contents of the pan with a hand blender or a regular blender until very smooth and thick. Add salt and pepper and adjust seasoning. If it's too thick, add a little hot water.

Serve warm, drizzle with a little melted chili oil, sprinkle with parsley, and serve with a lemon wedge for a squeeze just before serving. Your special dish is ready to be enjoyed!
