🛒 Ingredients

  • Three medium-sized red beets, steamed until cooked then finely grated
  • One tablespoon of vegetable butter/olive oil
  • One teaspoon of granulated sugar/coconut sugar
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar/lime juice
  • A pinch of salt and ground pepper
  • A little chopped parsley for sprinkling

    Heat vegetable butter/oil in a pan, add grated red beetroot.

    Cook over low heat while stirring gently for 10 to 15 minutes so that the spices are absorbed and the aroma comes out.

    Add sugar, salt, pepper, and vinegar/lime, stir well, cook for a short while.

    Taste and adjust the taste so that the sweet and sour combination is balanced.
