🛒 Ingredients

  • 150 grams millet seeds, wash clean (as the main ingredient)
  • One onion, finely chopped (as main ingredient)
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped (as the main ingredient)
  • One carrot, cut into small cubes (as the main ingredient)
  • One green/red bell pepper, diced (as the main ingredient)
  • 100 grams of green beans or sweet corn kernels (as the main ingredient)
  • 350 to 400 ml water or vegetable stock (as the main ingredient)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil/vegetable oil (as the main ingredient)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, oregano and black pepper (as seasoning and spices)
  • Salt to taste (for seasoning and spices)
  • Fresh parsley/basil leaves as needed for sprinkling

    Saute the spices: heat oil in a flat pan, saute the onions and garlic until fragrant and wilted, add the carrots and peppers, stir and cook briefly.

    Cook the millet: add the washed millet seeds, stir briefly. Pour in the water/broth, add all the spices. Cook until boiling

    Finish: Reduce heat, cover the pan tightly, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, until the water is completely absorbed and the millet is tender. Add the greens last, stirring briefly until wilted.

    Serve: stir gently, sprinkle with fresh leaves, enjoy warm straight from the pan!
