Tahu Braised Vietnam It is a delicious dish inspired by the distinctive flavors of Vietnamese cuisine, completely plant-based or 100% plant-based! Tofu pieces fried until the skin is firm then cooked slowly in a sweet, savory, spicy, and slightly spicy soy sauce sauce. With no animal ingredients whatsoever, tofu absorbs all the flavors of the spices right through to the inside, resulting in a soft texture combined with a delicious thick sauce. Perfect served warm with white rice, it delivers a warm, delicious, and soothing taste!

🛒 Ingredients
- 400 grams of firm white tofu, cut into large cubes
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 onion, roughly chopped
- One spring onion, cut short
- Two curly red chilies, cut in half
- Oil for frying and sautéing
- 3 tablespoons vegetable soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- One tablespoon of coconut sugar/granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 150 to 200 ml water or vegetable stock
- A little sesame oil (optional)

Fried tofu: Heat the oil, fry the tofu until it's golden brown and slightly firm. Remove and drain.

Saute the spices: reduce the oil in the pan and saute the garlic and onions until fragrant and wilted.

Cook the sauce: add all the sauce ingredients, stir well until the sugar dissolves. Add the fried tofu and chilies

Soak the spices: cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes until the sauce thickens and the spices are completely absorbed into the tofu.

Serve: Add the spring onions and stir briefly. Remove from heat and enjoy warm with white rice!
