Rice Pudding

Enjoy a creamy, warm, comforting dessert in a 100% plant-based version! Slowly until the rice grains become soft and combine with the thick vegetable milk, it is given a fragrant aroma of cinnamon and vanilla and the right sweet taste. Without using cow's milk, eggs, or animal butter, this dish still has a perfect creamy texture. Perfect enjoyed warm or cold as a dessert or a comforting sweet breakfast!

🛒 Ingredients

  • 100 grams of short grain white rice or white glutinous rice
  • 600 ml plant milk (soy milk, coconut milk or oat milk)
  • One cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons coconut sugar or granulated sugar
  • A pinch of fine salt
  • Cinnamon powder for sprinkling (optional)
  • Fresh fruit pieces or raisins (optional)
  • A little grated orange peel for flavor (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1

Cook the rice: Wash the rice thoroughly and drain. Add it to a saucepan with the plant-based milk, cinnamon, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it boils.

  2. 2

Simmer: reduce heat, cover the pan partially and simmer for 30 to 35 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning on the bottom. Cook until the rice is completely soft and the mixture thickens and becomes creamy.

  3. 3

To flavor: Add the sugar and vanilla extract and stir well. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved, then remove the cinnamon stick.

  4. 4

Serve: Pour into a serving bowl, sprinkle with cinnamon powder or fruit to taste. Enjoy warm or let cool in the refrigerator! Dessert is ready!
