
Sauteed Swiss Chard
Enjoy a simple yet incredibly delicious and nutrient-dense vegetable dish! Utilizing the bright red stems and tender green leaves of the Swiss spinach plant, lightly sautéed with onions and a few spices to keep the texture crisp on the stems and soft on the leaves. And retains all its natural vitamins. This recipe is completely plant-based, very quick to make, and makes a healthy, colorful side dish that goes well with rice, potatoes, or bread.

🛒 Ingredients
- One bunch of Swiss chard (Swiss spinach), remove roots, chop stems and leaves separately
- 2 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced or minced
- One tablespoon of olive oil or vegetable oilOne tablespoon of olive oil or vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder or sliced fresh chili (to taste)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- A little squeeze of lime/lemon (optional)

Prepare the vegetables: wash the Swiss chard thoroughly, drain the water. Cut the stems into finger-sized pieces, and cut the leaves into larger pieces.

Sauté the spices: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and chilies and sauté briefly until fragrant (do not let them burn).

Cook the stems: add the Swiss Chard stems first, stir well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly softened.

Add the leaves: Add the Swiss chard leaves, season with salt and pepper. Stir quickly for 2 to 3 minutes, just until the leaves are wilted but still bright in color.

Serve: Turn off the heat, add a little lime juice if you like, then serve while warm!
