🛒 Ingredients

  • One whole young coconut (cut in half neatly to make a bowl, scrape out a little of the water and leave the young coconut flesh on the edge)
  • Two ripe honey bananas (peel, cut into pieces, then freeze in the freezer overnight)
  • 1/2 cup sweet mango flesh (chopped and frozen)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) cold young coconut water or almond milk (use a little more to keep the smoothie thick)
  • One teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/4 fresh mango flesh (cut into small cubes)
  • 1/4 cup red dragon fruit or strawberries (cut into small pieces for contrasting red color)
  • One teaspoon of chia seeds or crunchy Granola
  • A few fresh mint leaves (for green garnish on top)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1

Prepare a coconut bowl: prepare a young coconut shell that has been cleaned from the outside. Scrape out some of the coconut flesh if it is too thick so that the bowl has enough room to accommodate the smoothie, but leave a layer of white coconut flesh surrounding the inside of the shell.

  2. 2

Blender process: Put frozen banana pieces, frozen mango, vanilla extract, and a small amount of cold coconut water/almond milk into a high-speed blender. Tip: Start blending with very little liquid first, use the blender pusher to push the frozen fruit towards the blender blade Until it produces a super thick and soft smoothie texture similar to ice cream.

  3. 3

Arrange into bowls: Spoon the thick fruit smoothie into the prepared coconut bowl. Say the surface with the back of a spoon

  4. 4

Garnish with toppings: arrange the mango slices, red dragon fruit, and chia seeds neatly in a row on top of the smoothie to create a beautiful tropical color gradient.

  5. 5

Finishing touch: place a few fresh mint leaves right in the top center for a nice green contrast.

  6. 6

Serve: Serve immediately while still chilled and enjoy this healthy tropical refreshment!
